Café Concepts was started in 1997 to address the continued decline in customer (student, teacher, etc.) participation facing school service operations.  Located in Salisbury, N.C., the company specializes in food court development and design issues, particularly within public schools. The company currently works with schools from Virginia to Florida. We are members of the School Food Service Associations of VA, NC, SC, GA and FL.

Café Concepts is a division of The Jordan Group, a marketing and advertising firm that was formed in 1985 as a North Carolina corporation in Winston-Salem, NC by the late Melvin E. Jordan.  Patricia B. Jordan became the sole owner of the company as well as its President and Treasurer in 1999 and has been involved in all aspects of the business since 1992 after leaving a career that included work as a CPA in a public accounting firm and as a senior vice-president of a savings bank.  Cindy B. Eddleman is Vice President of The Jordan Group/Café Concepts, a position that she has held since retiring in 2002 from a 30-year career in public education.  Ms. Eddleman was a high school teacher in Rowan County in North Carolina for 17 years before moving to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and teaching for 13 years at J.P. Taravella High School in Coral Springs, Florida. During much of her career, she coached women's tennis and basketball teams. She is responsible for the sales and installations of Café Concepts décor packages.  Her background in education provides a strong level of understanding of school operations and requirements as well as a natural ease of dealing with all school personnel.  Contacting any of the schools that we have worked with will yield the same results - that Café Concepts stands behind their products and always performs within the time frame provided and that Cindy Eddleman is a professional who takes personal interest and great pride in every school system she works with and never makes the people she meets with feel pressured.
